Saturday, May 4th, 2013: Police Memorial Week Parade and Comstock Restored Emergency Vehicle Show.
Our 4th Annual Police Memorial Week Parade and Restored Emergency Vehicle Show is an event not to me missed. See details, register, book your hotel, and find tourism info here. The parade takes place on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 in Virginia City.
Pride in the profession runs deep in law enforcement. The duties faced each day are those not many can or would want to face. The Police Memorial Week Parade is a one of a kind event in the west. Presented by the museum, the parade pays tribute to officers who have died in the line of duty and celebrates those in the profession in the grandest fashion possible.
This is the 4th annual Police Memorial Week event and our fifth parade including our grand opening in 2009. It promises to be a great day for all.
The Police Memorial Week Parade will take place at 12:00 noon and will travel through downtown Virginia City. The parade will include all restored emergency vehicles as well as law enforcement color guards, honor guards, vehicles, mounted officers, motors, and in-service vehicles. All agencies are encouraged and invited to participate. This is a true community parade and includes announcers located along the route. All entries including just parade participants are requested to complete and submit entry forms as this provides for accurate announcer information.
