Nevada Memorials

The James D. Hoff Peace Officers Memorial was dedicated, in name, to Reno Police Detective James Hoff.  Jimmy was working narcotics when the drug deal he was involved in went terribly wrong.  Detective Hoff was kidnapped and murdered.

The Memorial is located within Reno's Idlewild Park.  Each year, names of Nevada officers killed in the line of duty, from present and past, are added.  Special ceremonies take place there each May.  This was the first law enforcement memorial for Nevada.  Find additional information abut the James D Hoff Memorial here.
